The candidate will be a highly-motivated individual, who works well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The Configuration Manager will be responsible for applying specialized knowledge and experience to direct/implement configuration management planning, describing provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits, configuration planning, identifying and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software and related documentation.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer related field such as Computer Science, and/or Information Systems. Degree may be replaced with a minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to apply specialized knowledge and experience to direct/implement configuration management planning.
  • Must be able to provide support software quality assurance process audits. 
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Ability to efficiently handle stressful situations

Qualifications Desired:

  • Master’s Degree in a Computer related field such as Computer Science, and/or Information Systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Apply specialized knowledge and experience to direct/implement configuration management planning.  Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits. 
  • Responsible for configuration planning. 
  • Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software and related documentation. 
  • Responsible for configuration change control. 
  • Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. 
  • Responsible for configuration status accounting. 
  • Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration. 
  • Responsible for configuration audits. 
  • Supports audits to verify that the as-built software has met requirements of all baselines.
  • Supports software quality assurance process audits.  May provide daily supervision and direction to staff.
