The Air Operations Center (AOC) Chief Engineer is responsible for the technical execution and design of a program overseeing all technical aspects and is accountable to the Program Manager. The technical execution and design of a program includes the technical solution, performance of the technical team (cost and schedule), management of the program technical team, and producing customer reviews and deliverables. Technical aspects of the program include providing Engineering oversite for Infrastructure and Application development and integration in an Agile and DevOps Environment.
The AOC Chief Engineer will lead the establishment of processes and infrastructure enhancements needed to support updates to the customer utilizing Agile and Dev/Ops techniques
Responsible to Develop, implement, manage, and maintain procedures to ensure all devices are configured in accordance with mission requirements and security policies, ensure updates of OS, monitor and report operational status, resolve issues when they occur, and include working closely with vendors and service providers.
Solution development and application, software architecture and cloud solutions
Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design and delivery phases of products in development and production phases
Knowledge and experience in infrastructure design and engineering; up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging network and infrastructure technologies
Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing and work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements
Understanding of the Systems Engineer lifecycle and change management process
Provide technical leadership in architecture definition and trades, requirements analysis, CONOPs, algorithms, interface definition, hardware and software design, procurement, integration, validation and verification
Experience leading multiple development teams to design and build software systems following the Agile methodology
Experience leading diverse engineering teams including the technical team, Government, and other contractors
Experience developing and delivering program presentations and leading development teams implementing CI/CD pipelines
Experience with DevSecOps and Agile processes to achieve high level of automation
Familiarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoD
Ability to obtain/maintain US Government security clearance (up to TS/SCI)
