Job Description:
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Configuration Manager to join our Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) program for the Army Installation Support Modules (ISM) and Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) Project. The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate the current environment, gather needs, and propose a recommended solution, to define and design standards for the technology, to create and maintain documentation for tools used to support configuration management, to provide user support and troubleshooting issues with the relevant configuration management software, to define manageable configuration processes (checkout/checkin, merge, build, release, etc.) and implement them for the Army Human Resources Systems (AHRS) software applications. The Configuration Manager/Release Engineer will be familiar with many source control tools and be responsible for designing and implementing Version Control best practices. Automated builds, production deployment, off hour system support and end user training. Version Control Branching and merging and tagging of releases.
Provide System Administrator Tier 1 Level Unix support for the Development and Testing staff as it related to daily working environment. A Windows Server Administrator, providing patching, software installation and IIS configuration.
Additional duties include Agile build and deployment process for projects. Responsible for Automation of build and deployment processes via scripting (ANT, NANT, Unix shell, Windows batch) allowing for a stable and repeatable process. Provide support for multiple software development releases simultaneously on various servers (Unix, Windows). As Unix systems administrator, provided daily support for the Development, SQT and Production environments as it relates to the application being deployed. Working within Oracle Weblogic. As a Windows Server administrator, duties included applying patches, software upgrades/configuration and IIS support and configuration.

Education/Training/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. 5+ years of configuration management experience
Required Skills:
Writing documentation related to software development builds, software release deployment, etc.
Configuration Management:
Familiar with SVN Branch/Merging/Tagging
ANT build.xml programing
NANT. build programming
Jenkins monitoring tool
Atlassian Crucible code review tool
Unix:
Comfortable working in Unix environment and navigating around running commands. Strong understand of Unix commands
Reading/writing Korn Shell programs
WebLogic knowledge
Familiarity with Adobe LiveCycle
Familiarity with Oracle BI reporting tool
Unix JVM understanding
Basic Java understanding
Windows:
Working with Windows Server 2016-2018
Windows Hyper-V usage
Read/write windows Batch programs
ESRI ArcMap tool
Basic .Net understanding
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of desktop computer hardware and software
• Knowledge of Windows 10 Operating System and Microsoft Office components
• Ability to troubleshoot user desktop computer issues.
The likely salary range for this position is $84,000 - $126,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
