Contributes to the completion of specific logistics projects.
Conducts supplier audits, assessments and evaluations to ensure conformance to client's quality, cost and delivery performance standards.
Performs demand forecasting, distribution planning, supply chain modeling and design.
Resolves supplier quality issues and provides appropriate support for desired supplier capability.
Identifies logistics opportunities for process improvements, inventory reductions, and cost savings.
Writes and edits the logistics policies and procedures.
 

  • Receives, assigns and tracks all assigned fabrication and paint orders.
  • Logs all tasks into the Master Index matrix spreadsheet creating an accounting for all tasks.
  • Creates and develops an itemized spreadsheet for each customer’s task to include all fabricated assemblies and individual items.
  • Creates and develops an itemized spreadsheet of required building of material (BOM) for each assigned task.
  • Reviews job orders, shipping needs and material requirements for all customers’ jobs.
  • Determines operational sequences for all items to be fabricated.
  • Creates and develops a Job BOSS software traveler for all items to be fabricated.
  • Creates Quality Assurance inspection tickets for each Job BOSS traveler created.
  • Provides QA check points for each assembly being fabricated. Installs a picture, sketch or diagram of the assembly or item being fabricated into the QA ticket from the customer provided engineering drawing.
  • Reviews each task shipping needs and creates itemized delivery reports for all items to be delivered or shipped to customer.
  • Communicates customer required deadlines and coordinates the distribution of work packages to all internal departments’ supervisors and employees.
  • Assists Management with the estimating of man-hours and material to be used for incoming task.
  • Assist Management with resolving production conflicts while maintaining scheduled deadlines and requirements.
  • Prepares, reviews and develops weekly production status reports for each internal/external customer task. To include each assembly and individual item being fabricated on individual fabrication spreadsheet.
  • Presents weekly production reports to internal management and supervisors during weekly production meetings.
  • Logs and tracks customer engineering drawings on drawing control matrix.
  • Performs various production control activities including gathering and filing records.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or the equivalent combination of education; professional training; or work/military experience.

3-5 years of technical experience working in an industrial fabrication shop.

Able to read and interpret fabrication / assembly drawings.

Proficient in MS applications, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel.

Detail oriented and possess good organizational and communication skills.

Experience with Job BOSS (or other Shop Management Software) is preferred.
