As a Tier 2 Systems Administrator; performs the administrative operation and maintenance of machine hardware and software. Maintains system security and executes practices and procedures; monitors usage statistics and logs; monitors and remedies attempts to penetrate or corrupt server files. Maintains baseline configurations and performs modification of configuration settings. Institutes troubleshooting and incident response procedures. Remains current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications. Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science; Engineering or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; certificates; technical training; or work/military experience.

Qualifications

-2 years of related systems administration experience.

-DOD 8570 IAT Level II required

-A strong understanding of Beyond Trust Remote Solutions(Bomgar); Microsoft Active Directory administration; DHCP; Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager(SCCM); Cisco Switch configuration and Cisco Identity Services Engine(ISE)

-Experience with MS Exchange 2016 and Unified Communications applications (Skype for Business)

-Experience with VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) environments

-Competent to work at a fast paced, high technical level

-Excellent communication, briefing, and documentation skills; shows tact; effective listening skills and follow through

-Solid work ethic and the ability to work in a mission critical environment

-Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work
