Job Description
Field Technician III

HOW A FIELD TECHNICIAN III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Serves as a DCGS-A Field Tactical Ground System (TGS) Service Technician.
- Initializes, puts into operation, and troubleshoots the TGS system’s hardware and software interfaces for military field or garrison operations.
- Deploys, configures, and documents complex VMware environments.
- Installs, configures, and maintains the vCenter server instance and its applicable database server / services.
- Installs and configures Socket (Geospatial eXploitation Products) GXP, TGS, One System Remote Video Terminal (OSRVT), and Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT) systems.
- Maintains Cisco switches configurations for TGS.
- Installs, configures, and maintains all Elastic Sky X (ESX) / Elastic Sky X Integrated (ESXi) hosts within the environment.
- Manages snapshots of Virtual Machines (VM).
- Ensures proper initial installation as well as subsequent Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA), Operating System (OS), and Internetwork Operating System (IOS) update / patch installations.
- Provides over-the shoulder training (OTST) for TGS maintainers.
- Provides routine status updates to organizational leadership.
- Performs a variety of technical tasks and provides site support.
- Troubleshoots a variety of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.
- Prepares and presents a variety of incident/performance reports to the customer and to the service delivery manager.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science
● Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience. (2 years of additional
work experience may be substituted for an A.A./A.S. Degree)
● Security Clearance Level: TS-SCI
● Must have a Security + CE active certification.
