Who we are: 
Come Join Our Team! GDIT is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies (i.e. defense). We are currently looking for a AutoCAD Designer to join our winning team. The individual hired for this position will be located at Point Mugu, CA supporting our government customer.

Required qualifications:

3+ years of 3D modeling and drafting experience required using industry standard tools (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, Catia, etc..)

Experience with GD&T and drafting standards per ASME Y14.5

Familiarity with aerospace standards and best practices

Experience with aerospace mechanical part design using common manufacturing processes (milling, sheet metal, casting, etc..)

Experience creating aerospace wiring diagrams

Experienced developing BOMs, parts list, complex assembly drawings, and configuration management

Preferred qualifications:

3+ years experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD

Microsoft Office

Adobe Illustrator

Additive manufacturing experience

Mechanical design

Electrical wiring design

Familiarity with MIL STD fasteners and hardware

PDM software is a plus (Autodesk Vault, Windchill, etc..)

Responsibilities include:

Develop detailed design drawings of mechanical and electrical systems on aerospace vehicles

Creation of CAD models

BOM management

Review drawings prior to release

Assist and work closely with engineers in accomplishing extensive research to determine materials and specifications necessary for project completion.
