At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Sr. Network Administrator supporting the NOC, you will be trusted to design, maintain, and coordinate the use of network systems. In this role, a typical day will include:
Responsible for the analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks
Extensive experience monitoring and configurating crypto equipment. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operating/hardware network system problems
Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routers and switches
Demonstrate network troubleshooting techniques and experience
Ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures
Manage the Enterprise Network for resource availability
Experience with both LAN and WAN troubleshooting Experience with WAN circuit technologies (T1, DS3, OC-3, OC-12, OC-192)
·Possess comprehensive knowledge of operating systems and applications as they pertain to the network environment
·Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by GDIT Management
Provide After Action Reports (AARs) for Problem Management resolution
Experience with programming and troubleshooting KG-175A and KG-175D encryptors (to include 10G encryptors)
Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment
Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards
Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades
Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance
Develops and implements testing strategies and document results
Provides advice and training to end-users.
May provide professional leadership to less-experienced network personnel
Participates in special projects as required
NOC is 24x7 shift work; to include weekends and holiday for all employees
Day Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Swing Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm
Mid Shift: 10:30 pm – 6:00 am
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
5-8 years of directly related experience in network administration and support.
Certifications: IAT II (required) CCNA (preferred)
Must have a TS/SCI Clearance and the ability to obtain Poly
Weekend work may be required to support Enterprise outages
Ability to work independently within a Team Concept

The likely salary range for this position is $64,000 - $96,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
