  • Design, implement, test and maintain the ETL, ODBC, and/or API processes to ingest and prepare data for analysis.   
  • Maintain and expand the current processes (using tools such as Tableau Prep Builder ETL and Power BI)   
  • Determine additional technology requirements to support growing business requirements 
  • Stay apprised of industry trends 
  • Support systems and processes to ensure USAID’s Chief Information Officer requirements and regulations 
  • Primarily responsible for working with context data relevant to international development, but also supports work using internal data on USAID programs and operations. 
  • Analyze internal and/or industry data and use it to answer business questions.  
  • Summarize and communicate those answers to other teams in the organization for action and decision making.  
  • Access data, cleanse data, perform statistical analysis, visualize data and communicate results.  
  • Basic Qualifications (MUST HAVES) 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years’ experience with data cleaning and data visualization; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience/military
  • Active Secret clearance required 
  • Demonstrated experience with communicating complex data analysis clearly and understandably to people with no statistics or programming background 
  • Advanced ability to perform exploratory data analysis 
  • Working knowledge of statistics 
  • Exceptional technical writing skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with popular BI packages such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc 
  • Advanced ability to perform exploratory data analysis 
  • Intermediate probability and statistics skills 
  • Experience with machine learning and AI 
  • Experience with common data science toolkits 
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL queries 
  • Intermediate to advanced data science programming in Python, 
  • Excellent attention to detail
