GDIT is seeking an Army Business Development Director to focus on pursuing opportunities and growing business with Army Cyber Command, US Army NETCOM, Army Futures Command, US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMC), PEO-AVN, and High Performance Computing (USACE).  The position will support our Defense Division and can be fully remote with occasional travel to our headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia.  Everyday GDIT makes a difference in how the government serves our country and our citizens.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of account growth, new business development and customer relationship management across all levels within assigned accounts. 

  • Meet with customers to understand the customer territory—relative to portfolio of deals

  • Develop a pipeline of new opportunities for assigned Sector or market segment 

  • Lead identification and qualification of new business opportunities that support the account plan, Sector growth goals, and submit targets, throughout the opportunity life cycle. 

  • Lead early development of win strategy during the Assessment Phase, prior to assignment of a Capture Manager

  • Lead identification, qualification, and capture on select OTAs with assistance from the Defense CTO/SA.

  • Execute call plans to collect information about particular opportunities; in collaboration with technical staff, proffers and tests potential solutions; qualifies opportunities; document customer meetings in Salesforce.  

  • Meet with OEM vendors, other GD business units, and potential industry partners to collect information about opportunities and customers

  • Develop customer relationships, improve customer intimacy, strengthen key customer relationships

  • Identifies competitors, assess strategic fit, assess OCI

  • Prepare for and brief opportunities at formal gate reviews. 

  • Develop and brief Pursuit Reviews

  • Provide insight from customer point of view throughout opportunity life cycle.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • 10+ years of Sales/BD/Capture/Proposal experience within the DoD/Army environment; preferably ARCYBER, NETCOM, AFC, AMCOM, PEO-AVN, and HPC (USACE)

  • Experience managing a pipeline of business focused on year-over-year Growth

  • Experience developing Account Strategies

  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. SalesForce), SharePoint, and all Microsoft Office applications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree

  • Able to develop actionable plans by leveraging market knowledge

The likely salary range for this position is $144,000 - $216,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
