Job Description

GDIT is currently seeking a Range Technician at JBSA-Lackland, TX to support the AFCOTERS II contract, supporting the 67th Cyber Wing (67 CW), 346th Test Squadron (346 TS), and the 318th Range Squadron (318 RANS) planning and executing a full array of operational tests of various cyber weapons and systems.

Range Technician Responsibilities include:

- Plans, implements, and operates network services / systems, to include hardware and virtual environments.

- Provide system administration, documentation, and security services to administer, configure, operate, maintain and troubleshoot networks used by the 318RANS.  This also includes the operation of isolated networks, networks connected to DoD networks and networks (Concept Local Area Network (CLAN)) connected to commercial ISPs. 

- Control and document the use of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

- Coordinate equipment and system usage.

- Maintain user access to range assets.

- Add and delete user accounts.

- Backup and restore software assets.

- Maintain CTTR command and control applications (e.g.  Orion, Altiris, and Airman and others, as required).

- Build, maintain and restore range baseline as required.

- Document range configuration, practices and procedures.

- Troubleshoot and apply fix actions, when necessary.

- Provide qualified personnel to emulate current Air Force Enterprise architectures and DoD architectures as well as technological changes and respond and have the ability to provide future architectures as well.

- Configure and maintain current and future training environments, including but not limited to:

-- Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE)

-- SimSpace

-- Simulation Exercise and Training Platform (STEP)

-- Foundry

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Certification: Current IAT Level II Certification (e.g., GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)

Education: Associates Degree or 5 years relevant experience.

Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience
Security Clearance Level: Current TS/SCI Eligible

Location: Customer Site, JBSA-Lackland, TX
