GDIT is seeking a Web Software Engineer for The Health Determinants and Disparities Practice. The Health Determinants and Disparities Practice at GDIT (HDDP-GDIT) manages the Think Cultural Health (TCH), an e-learning website by the HHS Office of Minority Health (ThinkCulturalHealth.hhs.gov). The website provides six different e-learning programs, designed for health professionals who wish to broaden their education about cultural and linguistic.

Responsibilities:

  • Software Development and Maintenance
    • Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
    • Develop and implement new changes and features
    • Creating new sql scripts for new tables/updates
    • Build JavaScript forms
    • Test and remediate for 508 compliance issues
    • Debug, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues
    • Maintain Microservices and YouTube videos
  • Deployment
    • Lead deployments to QA and Production
    • Research/debug and fix blocker production issues
    • Maintaining databases QA vs Production
  • Reporting
    • Build new queries for reporting purposes
    • Build new queries for Tableau extracts
    • Maintain Tableau data sources
  • Site Maintenance
    • Update new and maintain current accreditations
    • Maintain existing sites
    • Maintenance Registration database
    • Constant monitoring of websites and act upon website and system failures
  • Security and Code Vulnerabilities
    • Maintain and remediate security issues
    • Check and maintain ssl certificates

  • Microsoft stack, including ASP, .NET, IIS, SQL Server
  • Languages: C#, Javascript, SQL
  • Git and Github
  • Tableau

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 plus years of experience in the listed areas.
