GDIT has an opportunity for a Sr. Systems Engineer working with a large line of business within GDIT that is currently supporting the Defense Information Service Agency (DISA) in the DC Metro area. We are seeking energetic, talented individuals that have a desire to help transform customer requirements supporting the DISA Enterprise Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM) contract.
The Senior Systems Engineer organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems. Conducts capacity and performance analysis, and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. Increases system engineer efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system engineer procedures, and conducts system engineer training and skills assessments. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
This position is 100% remote
Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
Upon start of employment on contract, must meet DOD 8570 Baseline (Security+ CE)
BA/BS with 8 years of experience (additional years of experience and/or certifications may be considered in place of education)
Must have a minimum of 5+ year Linux experience in an enterprise environment
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS)
Microsoft Azure system engineering, administration and automation experience
Identity Management and Authentication/Authorization experience
Linux+ or equivalent certificate/experience
Experience developing coding/scripting to build required automation and tools (using Ansible, Ruby, Python, Bash, Powershell, Java, etc.)
Experience with DevSecOps concepts, tools and automation skills
Familiarity with industry standard host based security systems (HBSS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS)
Mixed operating systems experience: (Linux, Windows)
Kubernetes or similar technology familiarity
Experience troubleshooting issues related to SAN and NAS storage
This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18. Individuals who work in or reside in Texas or Montana or work outside of the United States may be excluded from this requirement.
The likely salary range for this position is $128,000 - $192,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
