General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) – Federal Civilian Division is seeking a Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership and support to a largeCenters for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) customer in the areas IT product design, development, enhancement, and operations and maintenance support that includes a DevSecOps approach to the following: agile software development, systems and software deployment, systems operations, information management, and enterprise data capabilities. You will need to possess strong knowledge of information technology and commercial solutions; and have significant experience designing and developing technical solutions. You will also need to have direct work experience with HHS agencies (CDC, CMS, FDA, NIH, HRSA, etc.), the Veterans Administration and/or the Defense Health Agency, excellent communications skills, a strong customer service orientation, and experience leading enterprise wide solutions and support.
As the nation’s health protection agency, CDC’s mission is to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. CDC conducts critical science and provides health information that protects our nation against expensive and dangerous health threats, and responds when these arise. To accomplish this mission, they require support for a large a portfolio of public and internally facing enterprise business information systems that must continuously respond to changing user needs and evolve in a technically sound and efficient manner. This support entails full lifecycle application development, data management and integration, knowledge management and related services across their portfolio to provide high quality, reliable, and available software featuring advanced functionality.
Understanding of federal enterprise architecture concepts
Federal IT capital planning knowledge and experience
Business analysis skills
Strong knowledge of commercial products/solutions, especially COTS software application products
Experience developing lifecycle cost estimates for technical solutions
Customer service orientation
