GDIT has an exciting opportunity available for a Logistics Analyst Associate within the Regional Support Center (RSC) in Iraq.  This position requires someone with a current and active Secret clearance. This position may require travel to outlying sites, work in austere environments, and working close with the customers. You will support the RSC and equipment to include CREW, IF/RCO - CRAM, CMWS, A2C2, VOSS and more. Logistic responsibilities will be Property, Procurement, Shipping/Receiving, Fleet management, Building Maintenance and GCSS A input. 

Knowledge in all areas is preferred.  

Role responsibilities:

  • High level of experience operating within the GCSS-ARMY (maintenance) environment.
  • Develop business relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Develop an understanding of organizational and customer needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met.
  • Develop inventory control processes to account for property received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred.
  • Develop proposals that include documentation for estimates.
  • Direct the movement of a range of goods, people, or supplies, from common consumer goods to military supplies.
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
  • Design strategies to minimize the cost or time required to move goods.
  • Collaborate with various sections as necessary to meet organization and customer requirements.
  • Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.
  • Manage supplier/subcontractor activities, reviewing proposals, developing performance specifications, and serving as liaisons between suppliers/subcontractors and the organization.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work as a member of a cohesive team as well as independently.
  • Oversee activities including purchasing, shipping and transportation, inventory, warehousing, and delivery.
  • Plan and manage logistics, inventory, transportation and customer services.
  • Review the success of logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Redesign the movement of goods in order to maximize value and minimize costs.
  • Provide material handling coordination support to include shipping, receiving, storage, and disposition of property.
  • Inspect inbound inventory for defects or notable damage and logs/reports issues.
  • Data entry, research and documentation of receiving issues.
  • Prepare inventory for shipping, loading of pallets, generating documentation, resolve inventory-tracking problems.
  • Interact with vendors to obtain information to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure the delivery of products on time and to the right location.
  • Handle unforeseen issues, such as delivery problems, and adjust plans as needed to resolve the issues.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
  • May be required to go TDY to multiple locations within SWA.

The Ideal Candidate must have:

  • Must have a current and active U.S. Government SECRET clearance.
  • BA or equivalent and 3 years related experience.
  • (One year of military service may be substituted for one year of academic requirements to fulfill the bachelor's degree requirement. Master’s degree is preferred but not required.)
  • Candidate must have 2+ years remaining on passport.
  • Passport must obtain 6 blank pages together.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or certifications in STAMIS, GCSS and automated procurement management systems.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proven experience working as a logistician.
  • Ability to perform several tasks at one time, keep detailed records, and simultaneously manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent mathematical ability and ability to think critically.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to meet internal paperwork requirements.
  • Calmness under pressure.

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working in hostile and austere environments.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience in a forward-facing customer support role.
  • Excellent customer presence.
  • A current U.S. Passport with more than 2 years remaining before expiration and at least 4 blank consecutive pages for VISA stamps.
