Our work depends on a Senior Program Manager joining our team to support the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration. The National Nuclear Security Administration IT Managed Services (NIMS) is an exciting program performing IT support for the Department of Energy's organization responsible for enhancing national security through the application of nuclear science by maintaining and enhancing the safety, security, and effectiveness of the US nuclear weapons stockpile.  This support is provided in several locations across the US giving employees great options for geographically diverse work locations.  The primary goal of the program will be to support the NNSA Associate Administrator for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in modernizing its IT and Cybersecurity Infrastructure and transforming current IT and Cybersecurity services to a managed service environment.

Our work requires an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead managed service and cyber activities at NNSA locations and field offices in the US.  In this leadership role, you will collaborate with NNSA executives and managers to architect and deliver a flexible yet secure enterprise cybersecurity and privacy model and implementation for NNSA.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong executive management, technical, and thought leadership skills to lead geographically dispersed personnel. You will be trusted to manage customer, contractual, technical, and operational aspects of a very large managed service and cybersecurity program from inception to completion;  provide customer interface and communication; and deliver overall customer satisfaction.

Our services may include, but are not limited to engaging with NNSA to create a security framework and deliver services that can support the varying needs  to design, implement, and maintain a secure cyber posture, including cybersecurity architecture and engineering; Risk Management Framework (RMF); Security Operations Center (SOC), Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM), Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Incident Response (IR) and Management Support, etc.

In this Senior Program Manager role, a typical day will include:
• Direct program activities to meet client and organizational work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems
• Continually evaluate and support innovation of new cyber technologies and service capabilities to solve challenges and ensure service evolution optimizing mission performance
• Lead a large and geographically dispersed workforce to ensure completion of tasks
• Oversee cost, schedule and resource management to ensure customer satisfaction, profitability, and revenue growth
• Monitor program performance, identify and recognize program performance issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives
• Supervise preparation and provides various reports and technical reviews and makes persuasive presentations to senior management and government officials on mission critical technologies

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to present and defend complex technical and management priorities at all customer levels, from technical and engineering staff to executives
• Knowledge of emergent IT technologies and industry trends and the impact on cybersecurity requirements and solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a geographically diverse, complex federal enterprise.
• Experience managing program(s) with average annual value of $50M or greater and managing the work efforts of at least 50 personnel.
• 10+ years of experience leading projects and managing programs planning, integrating, and implementing complex systems and IT infrastructure; 5+ years with cybersecurity scope..
• BA/BS (required) or MA/MS (preferred) degree with 15 years of relevant experience
• Active DOE Q Clearance or DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• PMI PMP Certification (Bootcamp an option).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity.
• Direct experience managing NNSA IT programs and/or experience interacting with NNSA headquarters and regional management and other NNSA personnel is desired.
