Provides SolarWinds technical support guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. Formulates architectural design, functional specifications, interfaces and documentation of hardware or software systems considering system interrelationships, operating modes and software or equipment configurations. Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for military, communications, business, scientific, and general computing applications. Set operational specifications to formulate and analyze software requirements. Provide technical solutions to complex integration problems associated with business solutions built using Skype for Business or MS Teams. Plan/Design/Implement/Maintain with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, IIS. Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Review System and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Plan, implement, patch, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure. Responds to computer security breaches and viruses.

  • Perform pro-active SolarWinds monitoring of network elements and alerts to identify those components/elements that are causing or may lead to service degradation or failure
  • Maintain SolarWinds server and dashboards to monitor the network systems and applications for events and outages, create and route tickets to the appropriate engineering teams, and communicate events and outages to management
  • Interact with customers and engineering teams in support of both routine and reactionary monitoring situations via email, tickets and phone
  • Logging into a wide variety of customers’ systems, including Windows, AWS, VMW and Networking devices
  • Use escalation procedures for first level troubleshooting steps
  • Create tickets, logs and reports that document actions taken, and any information collected
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by dealing professionally and effectively with all customers/clients.
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of basic networking protocols and concepts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities even with limited information, and make appropriate and timely decisions
  • Thorough and resourceful in completing tasks independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of good judgement and independence while evaluating emergency and non-emergency situations
  • Experience with Solarwinds  (a must have)
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies (Azure, VMware)
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 2016 Servers, Windows 10 including maintenance and support.
  • Expert level Microsoft Windows /Active Directory and related services
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco/HP router and switch configuration, including VLANs and static routing
  • Site-to-site and SSL client VPNs
