Qualifications

Position to provide technical support services for the GBS program for NIWC Atlantic. 

Qualification (Note: Experience may be concurrent)

Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include:

  • Shipboard electronics installation and repair
  • Maintenance, Installation and Checkout
  • Network Device Configuration/Troubleshooting
    • Switches, routers, firewalls
    • Cisco Devices
    • Windows Devices
    • Linux Devices
    • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Basic knowledge of the following Operating Systems
    • Red Hat 6, 7, 8
    • Windows 7, 10W
    • Windows Server

Six (6) years of experience with US Navy Satellite Communication Systems including:

  • AN/WSC-9 NMT,
  • AN/WSC-6,
  • GBS
  • ADNS. 

Shipboard Experience

    -Deploying Group Systems Integration Testing (DGSIT)

    -System Operational Testing (SOT)

    -System Operational Verification Test (SOVT)

    -Hardware Troubleshooting

    -Ability to interact with Ship's force, Contractors, or Gov Employees to complete tasks. (CANES, ADNS, DCGSN, GUNNS)
