The Telecommunications Installer IV:

  • Organizes telecommunications installations on site.

  • Performs site surveys and documents current site telecommunications configuration and user requirements.

  • Designs and optimizes telecommunications topologies.

  • Directs and leads development of engineering installation packages.

  • Develops on-site installation schedules. Mobilizes telecommunications installation team.

  • Directs and leads documentation of the configuration changes at each site.

  • Prepares test reports.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in using common test equipment (e.g. digital test sets, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).

  • Proficient in testing communications equipment/systems and following standard test procedures.

  • Must be proficient at troubleshooting problems with telecommunications equipment to include system interfaces.

  • Experienced at trouble-shooting and activating circuits.

  • 2 years of telecommunications/electronics vocational training or professional certification from an ABET accredited technical school or equivalent military school

  • 10 years experience.

  • BICSI Certification required.
