HOW A CAPABILITY SALES ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Lead opportunity shaping efforts in concert with the Solutioning and Capture Teams to impact customer requirements in the early stages of an opportunity lifecycle
  • Gain valuable experience in both technical and people leadership aspects of the job to harmonize the inputs of the entire solutioning team into a common voice in customer presentations
  • Lead efforts to document use cases with program teams and growth professionals to align the customers mission needs with our technical solutions
  • Create compelling demonstration story boards, that bring out the technical capability and showcase it against a current state environment to show how GDIT can accelerate technical adoption of solutions to meet dynamic mission needs
  • Create demonstration work products, to include PowerPoint slides, narrated videos, Graphics, and marketing materials to inspire our customers about mission possibilities by leveraging unique GDIT capabilities to meet mission requirements
  • Work closely with graphics to develop unique and interesting ways to share our capability story in both in our presentations and proposal materials that captures and inspires our customers mission goals
  • Actively participate in discussions with customers and act as the conduit for connecting tailored GDIT Enterprise capabilities to specific and unique requirements of the customer to positively shape final requirements for the related contract opportunities.
  • Integrate with our Solutioning Team, System Engineering Team, and ITSM Factory team to bring best of our solutions to the customer before the proposal
  • Bring forward your passion for technology used within the Enterprise IT space and that will advance our teams efforts to broaden our team’s impact to customer missions across the Defense Marketplace

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business-related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of progressive technical and customer experience, or 14 years in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in Enterprise IT operations
  • Delivery and sales/marketing experiences that can enable shaping and responding to requirements
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • The ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Defense division experience
  • Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills that enable innovative design and technical thought leadership in a rapidly evolving business environment.
  • Experience working with Government Customers, specifically the US Military. 
  • Broad enterprise IT experience

The likely salary range for this position is $108,000 - $162,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
