Be a part of the men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges! General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Sr. Software Developer / Common Engineering Tool (CET) to support the Navy Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Crane, Indiana.

Responsibilities include:   

  • Perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software in support of clients 

  • Design software specifications to meet customer requirements 

  • Design, develop and maintain software for a variety of systems, applications, and tools 

  • Direct software baseline testing and validation procedures 

  • Perform user interface Programming using HTML5/JavaScript/jQuery in the development; web parts/user controls, web forms with data validation, business data connectivity and complex workflows 

  • Perform Programming in the development of middleware programming utilizing: table schemas with primary and foreign key constraints, data views, stored procedures, and user-defined function and triggers. Programming languages may include, but not limited to client-side web-based technologies (including JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, jQuery). 

  • Develop front-end solutions using JavaScript/Java within Windchill 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, work experience, and a CompTIA Security+ CE certification 

  • 5+ years of IT related work experience 

  • Must be able to create logical and functional software code in Java and JavaScript 

  • Proficiency in writing scripts using PowerShell and an understanding of PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC). 

  • Experience managing, upgrading, and hardening Apache & IIS

  • Familiar with RestAPI development  

  • US citizenship; must be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance
