JOB DESCRIPTION
The Software Engineer will design and develop complex new software products and make significant enhancements to existing software. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with experience in developing scalable data platforms, with experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science, and data products. They should have technical experience in a variety of big data technologies and the proven ability to fashion robust scalable solutions that can manage large data sets. They should be comfortable working in an Agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. 

QUALIFICATIONS
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
•    Minimum 5 of related software development experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

TS/SCI w/Poly Required
1.    Demonstrated experience with webservice design and development.
2.    Experience with modern programming languages including Java and Java Script. 
3.    Demonstrated experience with Angular 8 or higher. 
4.    Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. 
5.    Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues. 
6.    Team focused, willing to develop and implement solutions in a dispersed team environment. 
7.    Available for off-hours deployments and system maintenance. 
8.    Candidate should have at least 2 of the desired skills below. 

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
•    Experience with Amazon Cloud Services.
•    Experience with UI design and usability. 
•    Demonstrated experience with MySQL, Oracle and other non-relational databases. 
•    Demonstrated experience with Elastic Search. 
•    Experience with automated and continuous builds. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
1.    Design and develop complex new software products and make significant enhancements to existing software. 
2.    Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. 
3.    Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues. 
4.    Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, project managers and other engineers.
5.    Provide recommendations for continuous improvement. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
