GDIT is looking for a SAFe DevOps Lead to guide the customer’s Office of Infrastructure and Operations in transitioning operations and product delivery to a collaborative lean-agile model.  The DevOps Lead will engage daily with the federal customer.  S/He will assist contractor teams and the federal customer to adapt and apply Lean-Agile practices to align and coordinate all the activities necessary to specify, architect, design, implement, test, deploy, evolve, and ultimately decommission systems. The DevOps Lead will focus on enabling the fast flow of planned work into DEA production environments, while achieving world-class stability, reliability, availability, and security in system operations.

Required qualifications and knowledge areas include:

  • Active DoD clearance, minimum level Interim Secret;
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical or business field;
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a leadership role working and interfacing daily with senior Government managers;
  • Minimum 8 years facilitating large IT services delivery programs for the Federal Government;
  • Minimum 6 years of experience leading a program using Lean/Agile/DevOps in a delivery capacity and ability to point to various lessons learned, successes, failures, and artifacts;
  • Expert knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and able to articulate this framework in an infrastructure and shared services environment;
  • Expert knowledge of DevOps practices and tools;
  • Expert presentation and facilitation skills;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a training/coaching role with exposure to organizational transformations;
  • Expert at conflict management and team-building;

Certifications Desired or able to achieve within six months:

  • PMP
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • SAFe SPC
