GDIT has an opening for a Software Application Administrator position supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) in Chantilly, VA. This is an IT Service Management contract in support of the operation, modernization, expansion, and further evolution of the ARNG’s global Information Technology (IT) services including networking, compute, storage, infrastructure, applications, hosting, and program management services. The GECOS program supports the ARNG enterprise IT infrastructure, its Wide Area Network (WAN), authentication and directory services, cybersecurity, application hosting, and associated services. GECOS uses ITIL best practices framework as the basis for IT Service Management (ITSM) model.
The Software Application Administrator will:
Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
Gathers requirements
Develops storyboards
Creates mockups and models
Diagrams software functionality
Codes, tests, and integrates software code and components
Documents code and applications
Supports development of user documentation
Performs break-fixes
Develops patches
Embeds security requirements in design and code
Collaborates with service teams, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver optimal applications and systems
Supports application migration to the cloud
Performs work under supervision, as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of relevant IT experience with software development to automate IT tools and services
Experience integrating network and security tools with enterprise SIEM
An active Secret security clearance.
Possess the appropriate baseline and computing environment certifications to achieve DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level II.
