Logistics Coordinator Senior (RSC) - Kuwait (Secret Clearance Required)

GDIT has an exciting opportunity available for a Logistics Analyst Senior at our Regional Support Center (RSC) at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Must have a current and active Secret clearance. This position will be to lead and manage the day to day operation of the the overall supply chain management and requires an individual who is self-motivated, able to provide clear direction and able to make command decisions on the spot in order to achieve the aims of the organization.

Note - Most logisticians work during regular business hours. When dealing with delivery problems or other logistical issues, they may work adjusted hours to ensure that operations stay on schedule.

Role responsibilities:

• Lead and develop their team.
• Compile, submit, and analyze accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Responsible for overall performance of the logistical team.
• Responsible for ensuring customer expectations are met, exceeded and managed as cost effectively as possible.
• Responsible for inventory control to account for property received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred.
• Responsible for all purchasing, shipping and transportation, inventory, warehousing, Production Control and delivery activities.
• Oversee business relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Oversee the movement of a range of goods, people, or supplies, from common consumer goods to military supplies.
• Oversee the full order cycle.
• Ensure contract/company vehicles and equipment supplied are kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within country sponsor’s guideline, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner.
• Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.
• Review proposals and performance specifications between suppliers/subcontractors and the organization.
• Maintain strong attention to detail.
• Responsible for overseeing the assigned vehicle fleet to the RSC.
• Maintain a positive attitude and lead a cohesive team.
• Plan and manage logistics, inventory, transportation and customer services
• Review the success of logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure the delivery of products on time and to the right location.
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Comply with local and federal laws, military regulations, and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) requirements.
• Carry out additional duties as requested.

The Ideal Candidate must have:

• An active U.S. government SECRET clearance.
• Extensive knowledge and certifications in the Global Combat Support System-Army, Procurement Management, Asset Management, Transportation and Shipping Management to include Production Control Management.
• 10 to 15 years of proven leadership experience in an industrial or commercial logistics environment.
• B.A. or equivalent and 3 years of related experience (One year of military experience may be substituted for one year of academic requirements to fulfill the bachelor's degree requirement. Master's degree is preferred but not required).
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or on teams to handle multiple projects.
• Experience working in hostile and austere environments.
• Experience in stock control and asset management.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform several tasks at one time, keep detailed records, and simultaneously manage several projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Calmness under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use independent judgment when there are no policies or procedures in place.
• A current U.S. passport with more than 2 years remaining before expiration and at least 4 blank consecutive pages for VISA stamps.
• Contributes to the completion of specific logistics projects.
• Experience in a forward-facing customer support role.
• Excellent customer presence.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

• A graduate of the U.S. Army Automated Logistical Specialist (MOS 92A) or Unit Supply Specialist (MOS92Y) course or a graduate of a technical school or manufacturer's instruction course.
• Expensive experience with Global Combat Support System- Army
• Preference is given for military credentials/experience.  
• Experience in a forward-facing customer support role.
• Excellent customer presence.
