GDIT is seeking a Security Systems Technician to join our team. Responsibilities include designing, planning, and evaluating physical security systems in accordance with Department of State policies and procedures. Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process, including documentation.
Support the design, development, and evaluation of security technologies.
Support the development and review of system documentation to include technical requirements, evaluation reports, test plans, deployment instructions, and technical bulletins.
Perform annual system document reviews.
Provide Tier 2 operational incident and problem resolution support.
Supports installation of technical security equipment in laboratory and operational environments.
Reads and interprets circuit diagrams and low-voltage electrical schematics.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in testing and special projects as required.

Access Denial Systems
Vehicle Barrier Controllers
Walkthrough Metal Detectors
Interim Secret/Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
International travel is required (1-2 trips a year)
Associate's degree and 5 + years of related technical security experience or the equivalent combination of education/training and/or experience/military.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification - Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP desired.
International travel and work experience is preferred.
User level proficiency of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD/Visio) preferred.

Ability to read, edit, and interpret circuit diagrams and low-voltage electrical schematics.
Familiar with the use and operation of a digital voltage meter for point-to-point system testing.
