AEGIS or SSDS Test Director - Secret clearance - Wallops Island, VA

GDIT is seeking a Test Director in AEGIS or SSDS field to help support SCSC Wallops Island Navy Testing and Development program. 

As a Test Director, for our Testing and Development program at Wallops Island, Virginia you will be responsible for AEGIS or SSDS combat system baseline configurations, to include supporting elements and equipment, communication systems, and a good understanding of the interdependencies and interfaces associated with these systems.  Experience setting up and configuring combat system baselines to support AEGIS, SSDS, or BMD mission events. Experience in loading and maintaining program/project documentation on Combat Systems to include: loading computer programs and equipment utilizing established procedures, verify system operations, setup and collect data recording/data extraction, document observed issues/problems while operating combat system suites.

In this role, a typical day will include:

Performs system configuration set up using site switching to connect various interfaces of all equipment need by customer.  Overseeing the various baseline equipment brought up using a run sheet that list all equipment needed by the customer.  Assess and verify system operations, setup and collect data recording/data extraction, document observed issues/problems while operating combat system suites.

Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance

• AS (or equivalent experience)

• 3+ years experience

• Experience with documentation drawings, technical manuals (operation, troubleshooting, and repair)

• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

Desired Qualifications:

• 4+ years Combat Systems Maintenance Manager

• Combat Systems Test Officer

• AEGIS/SSDS Chief Petty Officer with systems experience
