We are seeking a Sr. Web Administrator to join our team to support the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Rockville, MD. As a Sr. Web Administrator. This position is part of the Enterprise Hosting team in the Operations and Engineering Branch, which focuses on deploying and maintaining various infrastructure services to support scientific research.
You will work closely with six other innovative and savvy people to engineer and expand the Application Hosting with new tools and technologies. You’ll help automate and streamline our operations and processes, and further the adoption of DevOps best practices. We’ll want your opinion on operational processes, DevOps, deployment checklists, and more. (A focus on always-up, always-available application is a plus.)
To be successful in this role, you will like being a part of a team and be capable of teaching others and explaining the “why” behind complicated technical decisions.

The primary duties of the Senior Web Administrator are to manage our customers application hosting environment in on-premise datacenters and in the cloud as listed below.
After hours and weekend work may occasionally be required for pre-planned maintenance or troubleshooting for service-impacting outages.
