GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative candidate to join our team supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC) Case Management Systems Office (CMSO) in Washington, DC. The CMSO has a mature AGILE practice.
GDIT provides full software development lifecycle support for a variety of highly complex business critical systems, including COTS and customized solutions. Our support includes program and project management, business requirements analysis, solutions architecture, and software engineering.
Collect and synthesize user requirements, including understanding existing procedures and regulatory requirements.
Design and implement workflows that model existing business processes using Jira issue and project tracking system.
Design and implement Jira customization including custom forms, fields, issue types, and views.
Perform general Jira administration and configuration, including user management.
Create Jira reports and dashboards.
Implement integrations between JIRA and other management systems, including Confluence.
Create and maintain Confluence collaboration sites and provide Jira/Confluence support to project team.
Basic SQL Administration and query writing tasks.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’ degree plus 8 years of related professional experience.
Expertise configuring and maintaining Jira and other process management systems.
Ability to understand existing complicated Jira configuration and impact of new configuration changes.
Provide sound advice on process based on Jira capabilities that can be achieved iteratively with minimal impact on product delivery.
Experience working with Jira’s workflow design tools.
Experience working with technical and non-technical contributors to develop clear, testable requirements.
Experience defining, documenting, and refining new and existing business processes.
Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time under a heavy workload and collaborate with disparate sets of stakeholders.
Familiar with Agile values, principles, processes, and methods such as iterative and incremental development, continuous integration, test-driven development (TDD), unit testing, code refactoring, pair programming, and Scrum ceremonies.
Solid knowledge of Portfolio Management and ability to marry tools with process.
Experience with service desk/help desk approaches in an emerging agile environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be effective at communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences. Must be able to clearly explain concepts.
Leadership skills is a must, should be able to lead Governance meetings and work with Government staff to manage configuration changes to Jira
Energetic, goal oriented, proactive, detailed oriented, innovative, hardworking, and patient.
First level Scrum Master certification (e.g. CSM and/or PMI-ACP).
Process improvement methodology certification (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
Experience with EasyBI, Portfolio, and other JIRA plug-ins.
Familiarity with other tracking tools such as HEAT, TFS, and ClearQuest.
Familiarity with Microsoft products including SharePoint and Teams.
Experience developing data flows between software systems.
Experience developing and consuming services via web APIs.
Well versed in a variety of agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean at a minimum).
Experience providing training, to include Just In Time (JIT) training, to support new projects and teams.
