Responsibilities:

  • Designs and codes software components units for web-based technologies.
  • Design data analytics tools sets
  • Perform full-spectrum of software development lifecycle (SDLC), to include systems modeling, simulation, analysis, testing and debugging assigned components and units.
  • Participate in internal and customer meetings understand requirements, identify unique use cases, and implement information technology solutions / initiatives.
  • Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Tests and debugs assigned components and units.
  • Participates in large system and subsystem planning.
  • Collaborates with hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems and works with them to resolve incompatibilities.
  • Writes and updates technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
  • Enhance team capabilities, improve security, and maximize software development ROI.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership resulting in new technical capabilities and approaches.
  • Demonstrate the ability to progress an application forward by introducing ways to simplify, consolidate, optimize code, or update to newer frameworks or introduce a new pattern to leverage some feature that would add technical value.
  • Provide mentorship to mid-level and junior software engineers.
  • Maintain all agreed upon professional and technical certifications you have and are given the opportunity to achieve.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience required. 
  • Secret clearance with Top Secret SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field – may substitute additional years of experience
  • Professional security certification such as COMPTIA Security+ or CISSP
  • Intermediate knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the hardware, software, and systems associated with software engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years programming in C# or other programming languages
  • Scripting experience
  • Understanding of object-oriented development technique
  • Experience with data analytic design
  • Familiar with intelligence toolsets and metadata tagging
  • Familiar with web technologies (i.e. HTML, CSS, javascript)
  • Familiar with Microsoft development stack (i.e. C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, .NET Core, Entity Framework)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Environment (i.e. Windows Server, Internet Information Services (IIS))
  • Knowledge of Solution Design Patterns and Best Practices, e.g., REST or SOA
  • Database design and development (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Experience with Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture
  • Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, or similar workflow management applications
