The AA position is the face of our Facility and as such, is expected to interact with visitors to the facility. These visitors include students, officer staff, building maintenance and cleaning personnel, and other official visitors to the facility. The AA works closely with and provides back-up duties for another AA working as the de-factor Office Manager. Candidate also works closely with the Language teams tech group to ensure the classrooms are set up and prepared correctly for the start of a new class. The position is dynamic and is generally performed in a teamwork environment. The candidate provides reception area coverage. This position requires excellent customer service skills and a friendly, helpful demeanor as there can be numerous questions and issues that arise. The candidate should be pro-active, show personal initiative and possess sufficient verbal and written communication skills. The AA position must open the facility daily by 7:00am. Work hours should be no earlier than 6:45am with core hours between 7:00am-1:00pm. Students arrive as early as 7:00am and classes usually start around 8:30am. Additional hours beyond 1860 are not required. There may be occasional lifting involved in stocking the office supplies or moving boxes of equipment after delivery but should be no more than 20 pounds. Travel is required between buildings within Reston for tasks at both locations up to three times per week using POV.
