GDIT is seeking an industry leading hands-on Azure Enterprise Architect to
perform application modernization in the Azure stack and to provide strategy, perform modernization, and guide the development teams. This is a mission-critical system modernization initiative in a highly complex information technology environment. We are looking for a respected technology leader who can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to their team and customers including those who may be a non-technical audience.
U.S. Citizenship is required and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Primary Responsibilities
Identifies, assesses, and resolves complex business problems/issue/risks
Ensure innovation and optimization are ongoing processes
Engages employees and customers on a routine basis to fully understand customer requirements and employee capabilities
Supports the full lifecycle of growth activities.
Required Skills / Experience
At least 10 years of engineering, technology architecture, and delivery experience
At least 10 years of experience developing the strategy for and building software solutions
At least 5 years of experience leading strategic system migration efforts
Experience supporting complex Federal IT programs
Experience designing and deploying Microsoft Azure solutions
Experience leveraging DevOps principles in designing teams and solutions
Experience developing CI/CD processes and procedures with teams in delivery
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the customer organization
Preferred Skills / Experience
Experience with .NET modernization including .NET Core architectures
Microsoft certifications for Azure architecture and Microsoft Engineering
Experience with Data Engineering, especially modern DataOps tools
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Master's or Bachelor's Degree – technical discipline preferred
10+ years of federal IT experience
The likely salary range for this position is $168,000 - $252,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
