Job Description:

  • Advise the government on matters of both IT and SATCOM technologies. Responsible for establishing base lining, creating data points, and provide data modeling.
  • Must be able to brief small groups of senior government officials.
  • Designs, evaluates, plans, tests, and operates electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems.
  • Provides expert operations and maintenance support of antenna controllers, Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA), Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA)/Low-Noise Block downconverter (LNB), up and down converters, Frequency-Division multiple access (FDMA)/Time division multiple access (TDMA) modems (military and commercial)
  • Manages SATCOM projects from concept to delivery of hardware solution.
  • Prepares plans, system specifications and equipment operating procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

  • AA plus 12+ years’ experience
  • Prior military satellite communications operations experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working with DISA network team is preferred.
  • Experience with the Crisis Management System (CMS) highly preferred
  • Functional knowledge of Cisco routing and switching standards highly preferred
  • Active TS/SCI required
