Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team, working out of our Herndon/McLearen Road location.

Responsibilities:

  • Cost accounting, revenue recognition, subcontractor financial management, At-Risk coordination, forecasting, EAC development and documentation, variance analysis, invoice preparation/review and cash flow management
  • Interface with project managers and business leaders on a regular basis
  • Communicate with all levels of management
  • Review and understand contract terms and contribute effectively to the job setup and closeout processes
  • Provide data and financial analysis in support of external customer requirements, Group/Corporate data calls and audit requests
  • Act proactively and shows initiative with regard to risk assessment, escalation and mitigation
  • Acts as a liaison between operations and other administrative support organizations on financial issues.
  • Leads pricing efforts and is able to create detailed financial models
  • Work with Program Managers to optimize profitability and Operating Income
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as required   

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years related experience, or nine (9) years related experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience working with project management including budget development and project planning
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, vlookups, etc.)
  • Experience within Federal Contracting and cost/revenue accounting environment for multiple contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity and exposure/experience with Oracle
  • Capability of providing deliverables with excellence and a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities
  • Comfortable working with business clients, facilitating discussions, building consensus, assimilating processes and building relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
