At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Applications Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to build web applications and develop web UIs. In this role, a typical day will include:
Building web applications using JAVA and the spring Framework such as spring Data or spring boot.
Experience with backend architecture patterns such as RESTful Web Services and Microservices.
Developing enterprise level applications in JAVA on a LINUX environment.
Writing code to interface with SOLR.
Using AWS cloud technology including RDS.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Minimum of 16 years related experience.
Technical Skills: MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Spring Data or Spring Boot, Bootstrap, Angular, Jenkins, Git, Gradle, AWS, RDS, JAVA, Agile/Scrum.
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

May serve as a mentor to experienced analysts.
May serve as team or task lead. (Not a people manager)
May act as a consultant across multiple programs and/or contracts within a Division.
Recognized as a subject matter expert in software development.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 15+ years of experience.
