GDIT is seeking a SharePoint Architect with both technical and functional expertise in SPO and One Drive for Business to help test and deliver the first ever implementation of O365 on our Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS) contract. Due to the nature of work this role entails, the employee must report onsite to Fort Meade MD, Chantilly VA or Durham NC at a minimum of 2 days a week, in addition to key meetings.
The SharePoint Architect provides applied subject matter expertise to governance, knowledge and data management, solution development, high level analysis, collection, assessment, migration, design, development, modeling, simulation, integration, installation, testing, training, documentation, and implementation. This employee will resolve problems which require an intimate knowledge of the related subject matter, as well as apply principles and methods of the subject matter to specialized solutions.
Responsibilities include the following:
Functions as the primary SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business expert on the Secure Cloud team.
Assumes a lead role in the creation of the Governance, CONOPS, and SOP documentation for SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
Provides input into SharePoint technologies training and best practice guidance documentation as needed
Key testing team member responsible for identifying and executing test cases associated with SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Power Platform and reporting out the findings.
Assists in design and implementation of required components within the IL6 environment. This includes architecture, STIG application, system hardening, file system structures, workflows, and solutions as applies to SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
Assists with architecture and implementation of new solutions approved for integration into the IL6 O365 environment as pertains to SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
Works with other SharePoint Developers and Engineers as needed to assist with design of appropriate solutions to meet customer needs and expectations
Participates in team and customer interactions to analyze, design, and document SharePoint solutions and architecture suited to specific business needs and processes
Oversees and assists with assessments, documentation, and presentation of results to customers in preparation for migrations of their current SharePoint, OneDrive, and File shares into O365 and SharePoint Online
Works with project teams and customers to plan, document, oversee and/or assist with migrations of customer data into SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
Provides responses for other team members in support of end user support requests as needed

Required Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret clearance
Level II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
10 years of work-related experience
3+ years' experience managing Office 365 services in a large-scale environment
Expertise in Cloud, Azure, MS Office 365 environments with emphasis on SharePoint Online / Teams
Expertise with environment and solution design and integration of out of the box and new components and features within Azure and O365
High proficiency with establishing governance and policies for large organizations residing in a single tenant
High proficiency handling taxonomy, metadata, and site mapping
High proficiency with complex migrations into SharePoint Online
High proficiency with PowerShell scripting in support of SharePoint configuration, management, and migrations
Experience with SharePoint assessment and migration tools (i.e. AvePoint, Metalogix, etc.)
Experience with DoD entities and processes
Experience with GCC or higher environments a plus
Familiarity building and executing within the SharePoint Framework
Familiarity with JSON
Exceptional analytical, research, and problem solving skills
