GDIT is seeking Senior Network Engineers to support a $100M+ US Navy program that will provide full spectrum Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) technical support to the warfighter in the Continental United States (CONUS). Support may also extend outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), and in rare cases, in hazardous areas. These critical C5ISR solutions will support a broad range of Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD customers, including joint forces commands and disaster recovery/first responders. In support of this program, GDIT will perform and provide network engineering services in support of a number of Mission Networks.
For the duties listed below, Senior candidates will be expected to have Subject Matter Expert (SME) level knowledge of most, if not all of the topics, and will be expected to lead teams to accomplish those duties. Seniors will also be expected to lead, train and mentor Journeyman and Junior Engineers.
Duties may include:
• Network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. • Conduct periodic and ad-hoc performance and volume reporting for all components via dashboards to track Key Performance Parameters (KPPs), service level objectives, application performance, and progress toward meeting Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs). • Collect and analyze data from multiple systems and external sources to conduct statistical analysis and predictive modeling. • Analyze and correlate complex data from disparate sources and develop reporting that articulates complex data into live data dashboards, charts, infographic or animation. • Analyzes customer requirements and solves unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative. • Provides expert knowledge for maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks. • Provides expert knowledge for network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability. • Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. • Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. • Maintains current and advanced knowledge of progressive and advancing technology as assigned. • Designs and builds the hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks. • Provides expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
For Senior Network Engineers, at least ten (10) years of experience is required.
Of the minimum ten (10) years of required experience, ten (10) years of the experience must be in designing local, regional, network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information. Additionally, Senior Network Engineers must have at least five (5) years of experience with leading teams to address complex projects.

For Senior Network Architects, a Masters Degree in a Technical or IT Discipline is required or a Bachelors degree and four additional years of experience beyond the 10 year requirement listed above. .
For Senior Network Engineers, a Masters Degree in a Technical, IT or Computer Science discipline is required, or a Bachelors degree and four additional years of experience beyond the 10 year requirement listed above.
For Senior Network Engineers, Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is required.
Additional Cisco Certifications such as CCDA, CCNA, or CCIE are desirable
Work location: 1 of the 6 Senior Network Engineers will be working daily at the WOLF customer site, all others will be Telework.
This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 8, 2021 or the start date, if after December 8.
