GDIT is seeking individuals who are Certified Air Frame and Power Plant Maintenance Inspector with 10 or more years’ of Rotary Wing experience. The candidate must be able to provide technical expertise during Government Acceptance and Testing Procedures of Non Standard Aircraft. Technical expertise shall include system specific qualifications in the performance of acceptance testing for ground and in flight inspections and testing IAW MASPO Project Office processes and procedures.
The successful candidate must be familiar with recommended technical/test requirements, specifications, acceptance criteria and measuring programs consistent with design and operational criteria for non-standard aircraft and their modifications. They should be able to provide technical expertise for quality management, inspection and acceptance of non-standard aircraft systems; assist in the development of inspection and acceptance plans and procedures IAW designed and approve Aircraft Inspection Guides; and be able to provide test reports for all inspection and acceptance activities.
The candidate shall be familiar with technical principles, inspection techniques and other analytical and empirical tools during the development, production and testing of non-standard aircraft systems and subsystems. The candidate must have the required technical expertise for activities to support inspections throughout the aircrafts life cycle such as quality audits, acceptance testing, system assessment, conformance inspection and first article/quality verification tests. The candidate must have the ability to provide assessments on all aspects of propulsion systems for non-standard aircraft.
Any experience with Mi-8/17’s, Huey II’s and UH-60 all variants is a plus. Any experience with inspection, documentation and verification of fault resolution with original equipment manufacturers or their authorized overhaul and repair centers is a plus. Extensive short and long term (3-6 Month) OCONUS travel is required for this position. Flight test support may be required to observe system performance, some flight tests may occur in Afghanistan.
This position requires 50% OCONUS travel. A Secret Clearance is required.
