The candidate will have general administrative responsibilities (scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, monitoring emails, formatting presentations and reports, drafting, editing, and proofreading routine correspondence, and disseminating information. In addition to supporting the Acting Chief and (3) Program managers the candidate will need to balance the wants, needs, and requirements for dispersed personnel and customers to include scheduling and organizing staff meetings, other group-related meetings and off-sites, processing travel, training, and POV vouchers, ordering supplies, and arranging for repair of office equipment). The candidate will be expected to exhibit exceptional customer service skills and attempting to anticipate the next need of the sponsor, as well as possessing excellent written and verbal communication. The candidate will be working in a dynamic office setting, interacting with senior level stakeholders. There are no specific schedule requirements for this full-time position however the Core Hours of the office run from 7:00am to 3:00pm. Infrequent travel (once/quarter) to Mclean via POV may occur depending on requirements. The candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting both internal training as well as external outreach to schools and educational partners in support of STEAM.
