The Programming Technical Lead/ServiceNow Software Developer will design, develop, code, test, and debug complex new software products, or make significant enhancements to existing software. The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform builder with significant experience in developing scalable data platforms, with experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science and data products. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

**This role is remote while COVID restrictions are in place. Once restrictions are lifted, this role will be fully on-site in the Columbia location.**

Candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Recommending best solutions to automate existing and new functionality based on ServiceNow offered applications and modules

  • Activation and configuration of ServiceNow applications to meet business needs

  • Development of workflows and scripts to personalize existing ServiceNow applications

  • Development of ServiceNow custom applications from inception to completion in order to automate and improve processes

  • Working closely with customers to research, design, develop and deliver innovative solutions to improve their business processes

  • Assisting in the identification of best practices for development of new and existing ServiceNow applications

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software applications, systems integration, and multiple platforms

  • Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.

  • Evaluating interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.

  • Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.

To be considered for this role, candidates MUST have the following:

  • 2+ years of overall IT experience OR 6 years of IT experience without education/military experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline OR the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience (an additional 4 years in lieu of Bachelors)

  • Ability to write code in both JavaScript and HTML
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks

  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

  • Program requires that candidate hired must be a US citizen in order to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Full-Scope POLY clearance

The following are not required, but preferred:

  • 1+ years of experience with ServiceNow Certified ServiceNow Administrator

  • 1+ years of experience with development of ServiceNow Workflows, client and server-side scripting

  • 1+ years of experience with ServiceNow modules to include but not limited to ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, SecOps, and integrations between ServiceNow and other tools
