The Contracts and Acquisition Management Office (CAMO) of GDIT is seeking an experienced leader with advanced understanding of Federal and commercial contracting practices to serve as Director of Contracts Compliance. This role will lead a team of professionals responsible for developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and training to ensure that GDIT’s contract management practices are compliant with applicable Federal and commercial laws and regulations.  As a senior member of the CAMO Operations and Compliance team, this position will also be required to serve as leader and subject matter expert on various enterprise projects and initiatives.

  • Lead the integration and on-going management of GDIT’s contracts policies, procedures and training.
  • Monitor and provide input on regulatory changes in the Federal, State, and Commercial contracting environment.
  • Analyze regulations, policies, audit findings, and other material for applicability to CAMO’s operational requirements and existing contracting practices.
  • Oversee the management and governance of GDIT legal entities, including DUNS numbers, CAGE codes, representations and certifications, and past performance report monitoring.
  • Lead the development, review and periodic certification of SOX, DFARS, and operational controls for GDIT’s contracts management processes.
  • Act as contracts subject matter expert on corporate initiatives, including merger & acquisition activities and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with GDIT regulators, industry associations and peer companies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team of direct reports and serve as coach to others across the CAMO organization.
  • Participate in and lead special projects, as required.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Professional certification (e. g., CPCM/CFCM) preferred.
  • 10+ years of related contracts management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams.
  • Knowledge of contracting laws, policies, and industry practices sufficient to provide guidance to the CAMO workforce. 
  • Analytical skill sufficient to evaluate audit reports, regulations, and other relevant material as a basis for developing and implementing CAMO guidance.
  • Skill in oral communications sufficient to present recommendations to higher authority, to obtain compliance with policies from the CAMO workforce, and to represent CAMO on company-wide committees.
  • Skill in written communication sufficient to develop and publish CAMO policies and procedures.
  • Experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize complex data.
  • Self-starter who will take the initiative to analyze existing processes and provide innovative streamlined approaches.
  • Problem solver who will thoroughly research an issue and develop a detailed solution.
  • Strategic thinker and trusted advisor to CAMO and company leadership.
  • Fosters and maintains internal customer intimacy.
  • Ability to mentor, develop, and lead training for others.
