At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As a Web Developer supporting the Operational Technology Division, you will be trusted to work on web applications and SharePoint sites in a production environment and maintain and develop custom designs and layouts.  In this role, a typical day will include:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborating with the Operational Technology Division to develop stand-alone and integrated web applications and SharePoint sites. 
  • Create visually appealing web sites and web-based applications that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation
  • Support the unit with other duties as assigned

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
  • Functional knowledge of security principles and Object-Oriented Design, including micro services and container methodologies
  • Designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and deploying web applications
  • Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with PowerBI
  • Functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, etc.)
  • Planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units
  • Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs
  • Designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function
  • Developing web-based front ends for external tools and capabilities using modern methodologies including RESTful calls and object storage
  • Assisting and supporting the upkeep and maintenance of web applications, sites, tools, and content
  • Troubleshooting, mitigating, and resolving problems with web applications and associated issues
  • Leveraging O365 groups for access controls of Web/SharePoint Sites

CLEARANCE:

  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access

  • Cloud infrastructure systems (examples: Azure, AWS)
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • WebServices (REST, etc.)
  • PowerBI
  • C#
