The Technical Editor:

  • Edits material for punctuation, grammar, and content.
  • Identifies contextual errors, reorganizes content, and edits graphics, tables, and illustrations.
  • Participates in the process of crafting and refining ideas, cultivating sources, and developing articulate articles.
  • Collaborates closely with technical teams to deliver appropriate content.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Two (2) years of experience performing technical writing and editing functions.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of experience in addition to the 2 above, can be used in lieu of the education requirement.
  • Experience developing drafts, revising and editing reports, articles, manuals, specifications, presentation materials, and other technical documents
  • Experience interpreting information obtained through research or provided by technical specialists
  • Experience applying knowledge of field-specific documentation content and format standards to prepare, edit, and publish technical materials
