The Instructional Systems Developer is responsible for supporting training activities for the NATO government clients of GDIT. The person in this position will assist with the production and execution of virtual learning programs (webinars, web-based training, and virtual conferences), in-person instructor-led training, user guides, and on-the-job training bootcamp events. Design, development, and facilitation skills are a must.
Participate in developing business strategies for new and existing products that meet government training needs
Resources need to draft and deliver SOPs, diagrams, handbooks, and lesson modules with workflow methods approved by the Program Director and managed by the work stream lead.
Resources need to develop Computer Based Training (CBTs).
Classroom instruction experience is a bonus, not required. There is an opportunity to provide classroom instruction during several training events in Europe, likely Belgium.
Consult with government agencies, subject matter experts and instructional designers to learn requirements and build innovative training programs and content
Assist with planning, developing, managing and evaluating in-person, online and hybrid training programs
Support learning technology initiatives, including webinars, online courses, self-paced e-learning and streaming video
Prepare regular program content and messaging (course descriptions, learning objectives, outreach emails, etc.)
Interact directly with customers to manage and support project-related activities
Conduct research for relevant learning program content
Assist with the preparation contract reporting activities and metrics as needed
Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, e-learning, instructional design or related field.
5-8 years of experience developing and supporting online learning and other learning technologies preferred
Experience facilitating training in-person in a traditional classroom setting or on-line via virtual classrooms
Experience or training in developing learning design documents, storyboards, and e-learning prototypes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of major online delivery and content sharing platforms (i.e. WebEx, Adobe Connect, SharePoint, etc.)
Familiarity of multimedia/web e-learning development using packages such as the Adobe eLearning Suite (Composica, Captivate, Lectora, etc.)
Secret security clearance required to start
