HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Plan, create and maintain data architecture to align with business needs.
• Develop algorithms for storing optimized data after formulating a set of dataset processes. Analyze data and identify manual tasks that can be automated to reduce manual effort.
• Prepares requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the implementation. Defines database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation
• Identify patterns and create models. Analyze data and identify manual tasks that can be automated to reduce manual effort. Creating very large-scale data analytics solutions based on the Snowflake Data Warehouse. 
• Resolve production issues in Data Warehouses like reloading data, transformations, and translations
• Develop a Database Design and Reporting Design based on Business Intelligence and Reporting requirements
• Provide overall technical Subject Matter Expertise, and support for implementation and operation

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Required Experience:

• BA/BS and 10+ years of experience or a Master's degree and 8+ years
• Five or more years of experience with data engineering, data lake/ data warehouse design.
• Two or more years of experience with healthcare data management strongly preferred. 
• Recent and substantial experience with Snowflake, in production.
• Prior experience as a  DBA, preferably with DB2 or Oracle.

● Technical Skills:

• Must understand common challenges and corresponding solutions that accompany a data lake/data warehouse implementation
• The ability to design, implement, and optimize large-scale data and analytics solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse is essential.
• Preferred Technical Skills:
• Skilled at Implementing ETL pipelines within and outside of a data warehouse using Python and Snowflakes Snow SQL
• Querying Snowflake using SQL.
• Development of scripts using Unix, Python, etc. for loading, extracting, and transforming data.
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services Redshift

● Location: Remote, with occasional travel to the Jackson, MS area.

The likely salary range for this position is $128,000 - $192,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
