Electronics Technician Maintenance II

Job Responsibilities:

Performs technical task in the operation, testing, adjustment, overhaul and maintenance of the Mk-41 Vertical Launching System.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs removal, installation, modification, adjustment and testing of equipment at an advance level in both shipboard and lab environment
  • Sets up and operates equipment, test apparatus, test equipment and tools for accomplishment of complex mechanical adjustments, alignments and testing.
  • Evaluates the form, fit, and function of components, apparatuses and equipment for adherence to technical drawings, procedures, and project objectives.
  • Records test procedures and results, performs routine analysis and calculations, and makes recommendations for changes/adjustments in equipment, product or test methods.
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Education/Equivalent Training Required:

Associates degree in related technical equivalent, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience. MK-41 VLS NEC 0981 a plus but not required.


3-5 years of related experience maintaining, and repairing MK-41 VLS

Unique/Additional Requirements:

Must have or be able to obtain both a security clearance and a DBIDS/CAC.

Knowledge and ability to use related tools, equipment, and systems.
