The Lead Documentum Engineer will oversee Documentum solutions development, ensuring performance and reliability of the Documentum solution and related products, and managing the resolution of EDMS defects and operational issues.


  • Administer, develop, and enhance content management system using OpenText Documentum Content Server, WebTop and OpenText's LiveLink technology
  • Design and develop solutions that address business needs and opportunities; proposes changes that would make the Documentum environment a more effective solution 
  • Manages the performance of Documentum team resources including staffing and mentoring to ensure development and implementation of high quality solutions that deliver requirements 
  • Lead planning and execution of tasks related to Documentum based initiatives; COTS upgrades and integration with subsystems
  • Estimate tasks, monitor progress, proactively mitigate risk, ensure complete documentation, and report status  


  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical or business discipline; 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

Required Experience:

  • 7 + years of system development experience including 5 + years of specific technical experience in Documentum application suites and eco-system including: Content Server, WebTop, Content Transformation Services (CTS), xPlore, xCP Designer, Business Process Services (BPS), Business Activity Monitor(BAM), xMS, xDA.
  • 3+ years of experience developing Documentum solutions using Java/J2EE, XML, Documentum Forms Builder, Documentum Composer, Documentum Rest, WDK DFS, or D2FS using Agile development methodologies 
  • 1 + years of experience working with Documentum Security Manager including assisting DAs with ACLs and role assignments
  • 1 + years of experience working with Integration Analyst including integrating Documentum systems with Microsoft Active Directory, Oracle database, ESRI GIS, Brava Annotation and Redaction, Kofax scanning and Crystal Reports 
  • 1 + years of experience creating and conducting training courses and developing system documentation focused on Technical Design, Test Plans and Test cases, Operations, and User Guides

Required Skills:

  • Specialized expertise in the Documentum enterprise content management COTS software
