 ARMA-Global is seeking a Military Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive experience in the Special Operations and Special Warfare communities.  This is a new and evolving opportunity seeking to employ cutting edge talent supporting elite warfighters. This individual will ensure the capabilities ARMA-Global develops meets the needs of the operations community we serve; as well as develop training to enable combat effectiveness.   ARMA-Global offers many other opportunities within this task order that require varied levels of expertise and experience, and we promote growth from within.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced analytics and support to projects involving training, tactical/operational documentation, military systems design or other efforts requiring military operations expertise
  • Researches, identifies, and makes recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion
  • Gathers, processes, and analyzes operational data
  • Assists with the testing and development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs
  • Identifies and recommends emergent relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas
  • Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.
  • Works with/leads a small team of Communication SME, Courseware Dev, Instructional Systems Developer, Graphics Designer/Digital Content Creator

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Demonstrated Operational experience as a Special Tactics Operator
  • Expertise in operational and tactical doctrine, CONOPs, SOPs, and TTPs
  • Experience and/or training in conducting and leading operations research, analysis and planning at the campaign, mission, or engagement level, supporting military operations
  • Knowledge of military systems and integration with Joint Forces and the ability to coordinate/collaborate across functional areas
  • Innovative: Always looking for ways to integrate new technology to solve problems and fill in capability gaps
  • Highly efficient communicator:  Requires outstanding skills both verbal and written as well as possess excellent presentation skills -- Position will require developing/giving presentations and engaging with senior leadership in the command
  • Must have a presence and the ability to perform in high-pressure environments to support delivery of decisive effects and outcomes
  • Detail oriented and organized:  Able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of deliverables
  • Analytics:  Ability to analyze processes and provide/implement efficiencies
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, mobile devices and applications
  • Air Force Special Operations experience required with the ability to engage Operators for discovery of capabilities gaps and deliver potential solutions.

Security Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance to start with and potentially a TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)


Physical Demands

  • Lift over 35 LBS
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high OPTEMPO very dynamic Agile environment
  • Must be able to obtain a passport for OCONUS travel requirements, if required


Work Environment

  • Work environment is an administrative office, on site with end-users and may require OCONUS travel

Education Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience; 8+ years’ experience working in the Special Ops/Special Warfare environment
