Currently, the 315 TRS GEN INTEL SYS ADMIN program is seeking aSystems Administrator inGoodfellow AFB, TX. The selected candidate must be able to obtain government security clearance, per contract requirements (Clearance Level: TS/SCI).
So what is required of a Systems Administrator on a day to day basis?
Responsible for administration of over 1,200 user accounts and 600 workstations and hardware components on two major networked systems.
These duties include account and file folder permissions, troubleshooting account, file and folder issues, and also troubleshooting and correcting numerous hardware issues.
Responsible for administration of Portable Flight Planning Software/FalconView and administration and delivery of Interactive Multimedia Instruction courseware on two networks.
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.
Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
BS or equivalent + 5 yrs related experience, or MS + 3 yrs related experience
Top Secret/SCI security clearance
DoD 8570/CompTIA Security +
Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
