At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Office Assistant III for the Provider Services department, you will be trusted to perform administrative support tasks. This position requires an ambitious, self-starter who is professional, organized and has business savvy. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Schedule Management – Organize and schedule meetings and appointments, manage travel and expense reports. Plan and arrange program events. Provide visitor support.
  • Office Management – Procure and maintain office supply inventory. Maintain files and records of employees including seating plans, staffing reports and telephony/PC set-up.
  • Resource Management Support – Coordinate the onboarding and orientation of new staff and the off boarding process for separating staff.
  • Information Preparation – Handle information requests. Prepare well-researched and accurate documents. Format information for distribution. Compile data for reports, create presentations, and write reports, editing, proofreading and other information preparation tasks.
  • Project Support – Proactively coordinate various initiatives and projects as assigned.
  • Work with the temporary staffing agencies to schedule interviews, creating and updating work orders

Perform other duties as assigned:

  • Manage IT requests using the Help Desk for equipment and telephony related requests, equipment issues, desktop support
  • Work with the department on the scheduling of meeting, taking notes/action items, tracking and monitoring requests. Prepare agendas working with department leadership staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus. Minimum of Associates degree and three (3) years of related experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, other departments, and both internal and external customers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products, with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple tasks with a high level of efficiency with the flexibility to quickly adjust to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
